Tour Itinerary

Day 1 – Dunkeld, Pitlochry and Dalwhinnie Distillery
Departing from Edinburgh we head north over the Firth of Forth and in to Scotland’s Highlands. Embark on a journey through the awe-inspiring landscapes of Cairngorms National Park, while savouring your first whisky of the tour.
Travel north from the Kingdom of Fife to Lindores Abbey Distillery, where you’ll visit a modern Scottish distillery built on the site of the country’s first recorded distiller.
After a delicious lunch in Braemar, you can taste the exquisite whiskies of the Royal Lochnagar distillery*. Queen Victoria and Prince Albert were big fans of this distillery’s outstanding whisky, which they enjoyed during their visits to Balmoral Castle.
Once you’ve savoured a dram of “the gentle spirit,” you’ll continue your journey through the breathtaking Cairngorms National Park before arriving at Grantown-on-Spey, where you’ll spend the next two nights.

Highlights: Lindores Abbey Distillery, Royal Lochnagar Distillery, Cairngorm National Park and Grantown on Spey.

Day 2 – Speyside Malt Distilleries and the Speyside Cooperage
On day two, We enjoy Scotland’s renowned whisky region, starting with a visit to Glen Moray*. Here, you can sample whisky matured in various casks after a scenic drive towards the coast.
Next, you’ll head back up the Spey River to Craigellachie to visit the Speyside Cooperage**, where you’ll gain insight into the craft of whisky cask making.
After lunch in Aberlour, you’ll visit the Cardhu Distillery, which was pioneered by a woman named Helen Cumming. Today, Cardhu is the most crucial whisky in Johnnie Walker Black Label. Finally, you’ll return to Grantown-on-Spey for the evening.

Day 3 – The Cairngorm Mountains, the Dalwhinnie Distillery and Perthshire
Today we return south through the beautiful Cairngorm Mountains. Explore Scotland’s breathtaking beauty with a visit to Dalwhinnie, the highest distillery in the country, situated in the heart of Cairngorm National Park. After enjoying the mountainous scenery, journey south to Perthshire, where Pitlochry awaits as your lunch stop. Continuing your journey, you will arrive at the Hermitage, where you can take a stunning woodland walk and marvel at the impressive Black Linn Falls. The itinerary concludes with a stop in Dunkeld before crossing over the Firth of Forth to return to Edinburgh.

Highlights: Cairngorm Mountains, Dalwhinnie Distillery, and Perthshire.
