Tour Itinerary

Day 1: London (England)

Our journey begins in London, a city rich in history and innovation. We’ll have a chance to get to know each other over a delicious welcome dinner at the hotel.

Accommodation: Wellington Hotel by Blue Orchid (or similar).

Day 2: London – Oxford – Cotswolds

After breakfast, we’ll leave London and head to the medieval university city of Oxford. Our expert Tour Leader will take us on an orientation walk to discover the highlights of this city known for its “dreaming spires”. Then, we’ll go to the Cotswolds to explore charming villages full of honey-coloured cottages.

Day 3: Cotswolds – Stratford-Upon-Avon – Cotswolds

Today, we’ll have the morning at our leisure before boarding a mini-coach to visit Stratford-upon-Avon, the Tudor market town where William Shakespeare was born. We’ll follow in his footsteps on an orientation tour before heading to the Cotswolds for panoramic views of the rolling hills.

Day 4: Cotswolds – Worcester – Denbighshire

After breakfast, we’ll visit Worcester Cathedral to learn more about the crusades of saints and kings before heading towards the rugged landscapes of Wales. In Denbighshire,

Day 5: Denbighshire – Snowdonia National Park – Denbighshire

Get ready for an awe-inspiring sight as we visit Snowdonia National Park, an area of outstanding natural beauty boasting diverse landscapes and local history. After exploring the park, we’ll return to our hotel.

Day 6: Denbighshire – Liverpool – York

Today’s itinerary has a musical theme as we head to Liverpool, the birthplace of The Beatles. We’ll visit The Beatles Story museum before ending the day in York, where we’ll have the evening to spend at our hotel.

Accommodation: The Churchill Hotel (or similar).

Day 7: York

We’ll spend the day in York, starting with an orientation tour of the Old Town. Along the medieval Shambles and Snickelways, we’ll uncover centuries of history and capture plenty of photo opportunities. We’ll have the evening to ourselves to explore or relax at our hotel.

Accommodation: The Churchill Hotel (or similar).

Day 8: York – Castle Howard – Lake District

Today, we’ll tour the magnificent Castle Howard, a grand English country estate, before passing through Yorkshire Dales National Park on our way to the stunning Lake District.

Meals: Breakfast, Dinner

Day 9: Lake District

We’ll spend the day exploring the Lake District’s highlights, starting with Rydal Mount and Gardens, the family home of William Wordsworth. Later, we’ll take a scenic lake cruise to admire the awe-inspiring scenery of this spectacular region. We’ll return to our hotel for the evening.

Day 10 – Lake District to Scottish Borders (Scotland)

Today, we will embark on a cultural journey starting with a visit to The Bowes Museum in Barnard Castle, a market town in the Lake District. The museum houses an impressive collection of art and antiques, catering to a diverse range of interests. Afterwards, we will head to Birdoswald Roman Fort in Cumbria, located on the longest continuous stretch of Hadrian’s Wall. Here, we can delve into the rich history of the area and take in the breathtaking views. Later in the day, we will make our way to the Scottish Borders for a unique experience. We will enjoy a traditional haggis dinner and a bagpipe demonstration, culminating in a memorable final night.

Day 11 – Scottish Borders to Edinburgh

On our last day of the tour, we have the opportunity to visit two iconic sites before bidding farewell. First, we will visit the grand Abbotsford House, followed by a visit to the picturesque Rosslyn Chapel. The tour will conclude upon our arrival in Edinburgh.
